Colourpop Cosmetics- How I ordered from the colourpop website? (Shipped to the UK)

So I've received a lot of questions about my colour pop order that I placed directly from the colour pop website, how much it cost, Did I have to pay tax, how long did it take and what was the process?
Well, I'm going to try my very best to address all your questions right now.

Firstly, I ordered from their site on the 13th of August 2016.

Heres the maths:
I placed an order for $61 USD in Total for 7 ITEMS.
The Subtotal for the products in total were $41.
International Shipping cost $25
- $5 off DISCOUNT CODE for your first purchase.
= $61 = £46

Shipping and Postage Process
Shipping seemed super quick, I expected it to be alot longer than it actually came to be.
I ordered it on the 13th and it arrived on the 23rd of August.
Thats 10 days to get to the UK all the way from the US?
I was given a UPS Tracking Number so that I knew exactly where my parcel was and when it had arrived to Royal Mail.

Once it arrived to the UK, I was notified by UPS Tracking that my order had been delivered.
I got home to find nothing there?
I was super stressed out thinking that my parcel had gone missing so started doing some research
A common problem with UPS is that it always lets you know that the Item has been Delivered a day or two before actual delivery. Something to do with the way tracking is processed internally as UPS pass it on to Royal Mail.

Tax and Customs
The next day I recieved a postcard from Royal Mail saying that they had my Parcel in the nearest office and that I would have to be TAX to have my itemed delivered. I could do that either online or by going straight to the office and paying it there.

Paying tax was super easy, I just did it online that same night using the reference number they gave me and followed the website they provided on the postcard.

How much Tax did I have to pay?
From Colourpops side for the actual products, the tax came upto £6.23.
However, Royal Mail themself have a seperate Handling / Processing Fee which is £8.

From what I know, the TAX itself varies on how many items you've purchased and how much they cost. Whereas the Royal Mail fee is a set fee which doesn't vary on how much and how many products.

Overall, my total cost came upto £60 for 7 products.
That makes it around £8.50 for each item.

Was it worth it?
Yep, Deffinately worth it, considering that other uk sellers charge £9/£10 for each colourpop product. I was able to save abit, it's not alot but it does count in the end.

Would I order again?
Probabaly so, Yes, I didnt have a bad experience, It wasn't as expensive as I thought it might have been. It arrived super quick and the quality of the products are amazing!

LOreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Mask Review

Where from and how much?
I bought my Clay Mask from Boots on sale for £5 in the UK.

What does it do?
So the mask is basically advertised by Loreal as being able to detoxify and clarify the skin. The charcoal acts as a magnet to draw out any impurities within the skin. The creamy texture is said to detoxify the skin's surface by cleansing deep into the pores, leaving skin clarified and beautified without drying out.

It contains
Kaolin - a natural clay which iabsorbs the impurities and excess sebum.
Montmorillonite - a clay which helps to eliminate imperfections.
Ghassoul - a clay that clarifies the complexion.

How did I apply it?
I applied the mask using a flat foundation brush, I applied a really skin layer and spread it out all over my face.

How long to leave it on for?
Loreal recommends that you leave the mask on for 5-10minutes. I left it on for exactly 10 minutes. I really didn't need to leave it on for any longer as it began drying within 2 minutes and was completely dry after 5minutes of application. This is definitely a bonus as you know it's not one of them masks that end up taking forever to dry when you don't really have much time. Knowing that the mask takes a maximum of 5-7minutes to dry on any person is quite definitely a thumbs up from me. I'm extremely impatient and always get the mask all over my hands when I apply any other mask as it takes its time to dry.
My experience:
Immediately as I applied the mask, I noticed that it was extremely smooth to apply. It wasn't sticky or uncomfortable to apply. As I have sensitive skin especially on my chin area, I did feel a slight tingle for a minute whilst it was drying. The tingle wasn't uncomfortable and it happens to me on that same area with every mask so wasnt really a suprise. It's deffinately not something that would happen to you unless you have extremely sensitive skin like me. However, because it dries super quick it didnt feel uncomfortable, it wasnt messy and it was a treat to apply. I was amazed at how quickly it dried down. Taking it off was just as easy as applying it on. I used a damp wet cloth to remove the mask from my face. Super easy. It didnt stick to any areas and came off straight away. It smoothened my skin immediately, it felt moistured and refreshed.
I do use quite a few masks and I can deffinately say this one is probably the most refreshing mask I've used. It felt quite awakening.

(Just mentioning, my mum tried the mask with me and she doesnt have sensitive skin, she didnt feel any tingling when applying and as it was drying) - It was deffinately just me.

Worth the money?
The mask is advertised as being able to giveyou 10 Applications. Doing the maths  £5 divided by 10, is 50p. Thats 50p for everytime you apply it. Thats ridiculously cheap. I normally get the packet masks for 99p from Wilkinson and Primark and the dont give me half the results that this mask was able to. And knowing that it's basically half the price of the packet masks I used to buy is amazing! Definitely worth the money, when you do the math, right?

What options do I have and Which one should I choose?
Loreal has released 3 different variations of the mask
1. The Detox mask which I used and have just reviewed.
2. The Purity Mask which is enriched with Eucalyptus. It is known to be great for those with sensitive skin and dry skin as reviews say that it isnt as drying as the other two masks.
3. The Glow mask which contains specific brightening properties to illuminate the skin.

Would I recommend it and who to?
I would highly recommend it to everyone. For the amount that you get, the quality that you get and the price that you can get it for. Its deffinately worh the money. The results are noticeable immeditaely after you use it. Deffinately a treat to use, and I know I'm going to end up finishing it super quick!

For anyone that has oily skin, This is a mask I highly recommend you use, as it deffinately sucks out all the excess oils in your skin, especially the T-Zone. Try it on before you apply your makeup and it might make a difference. I dont have oily skin so I cant really say it works but it is something I recommend to anyone that has oily skin to try it out and see if it works.

EX1 Foundation- Review

I wanted to try out this foundation for about 8 months before I finally got around to purchasing it.

Where did I purchase it from and how much did I spend?
I ended up ordering it from lookfantastic.com
So I was able to get 20% off my first order and no postage fees, making it £10 in total.
The shade that I ordered was F300, you can compare my skintone to MAC NC35.

What is this foundation about?
For those of you that don’t know, It’s a foundation designed for Asian/ Olive warm undertoned skin. All of which I have. It is a 100% oil free and fragrance-free which makes it amazing for sensitive skin.

How does it work on my skin?
It gets rid of all my blemishes, scars and marks with just one layer on the skin.
Because of the yellow undertone, it has in the foundation it corrects all the redness that I have over my face. Which is ALOT on a day to day basis.

I can honestly it say it seems like it was made for my skin.

It is super lightweight on the skin, easily blend-able, it doesn’t cling onto dry patches, it doesn’t feel cakey and allows your skin to breathe.

Coverage?
I would say its a medium to high coverage foundation that is really easily buildable. I can use one pump for an everyday look and 2/3 pumps for when I have a special occasion and need a high coverage flawless look. It definitely is an all rounder foundation

Packaging?
It comes in a pump bottle which is always a plus, making it so much easier to use. The pump moves up whilst you use it so it squeezes out every drop of foundation till the very end. Making it worth every drop of use. The packaging is so simple and elegant, it makes it look so high-end which is another plus!

I definitely know that I’m gonna get rid of all my other drugstore foundations, well use them up and just stick to this now I’ve found “my one and only”.

Would I recommend it?
If you have olive/ yellow undertones then I highly highly highly recommend this foundation. It is a 100% game changer. If you want to swatch it to find your shade before ordering, Topshop on Oxford Street have all the shades with tester bottles for swatching in their makeup section at the store. So definitely head down there and give it a go.

OVERALL
It is a 10/10.
I have nothing negative to say about this foundation. For the price that you’re paying and the long-lasting coverage that you get, it is phenomenal.

Birchbox Bag

1) First and foremost I'm absolutely loving the bag I received with all the products inside. It's the perfect colour with the perfect combination of materials. I need someone to invite me to a party so I have an excuse to pair it up with an outfit.
Just look how glittery it is!

Benefit They’re real! push-up eyeliner

2) I was a bit sceptic about this liner at first but after trying to wash it to take it off my hands I realised how good it actually was. Its just like any other liner, its difficult to use at first but once you've mastered the art of using it, its the most waterproof liner I've come across.
Tried and Tested.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

3) At first I thought it was just a primer but after researching it can be used as a moisturiser, makeup remover or a primer. As someone with extremely dry skin, I can honestly say I noticed results straight away. It's a bit like a gel emollient cream which is a great combination for anyone with dry skin. It definitely made my skin feel like baby skin.

2016 Goals

I'm not much of a person that thinks of New Year resolutions but I guess it'd be nice to set myself some goals for the year. I guess that makes sense as I'm a strong believer in knowing where you want to get before you start the journey. If you don't know where you're heading, You can't really expect yourself to get there.
So I wanted to start off the year knowing slightly where I want to be once I reach the end.

1.  Pass my driving test.
I don't really mind if I fail the first or second time, but I know that by the end of the year I really want to have passed and got my licence. I started my lessons at the end of August so its been about 5 months of lessons. I don't know when I'll book my test or even be ready for it. But I really hope its soon!

2. Sort out my skin (especially on my face).
I have really really dry skin. I've always suffered from severe eczema even as a child. I had it all over my body. I didn't just have mild eczema but I had the extreme where I was out of control left with sleepless nights. Alhamdulillah I stuck to a routine and now it's all gone everywhere apart from my face. Over the past year its become worse than it ever was. I don't know if its the weather or the environment or fabric. But I've changed my hijabs to pure cotton and cut out anything that inflames and aggravates my skin. I don't know what else I can do to get into a good condition but I hope I'm able to figure it out this year.

3. Find a job that I don't want to leave.
I'm one of those people that changes jobs every few months. I don't know why I do it but I don't like settling in and getting comfortable and staying in one place, especially when I'm not enjoying it. I want a job that I enjoy and don't end up leaving after a few months. I got through 4 jobs in 2015. Let's see if I can cut it down in 2016.

4. Stop with the fizzy drinks and the junk.
Yep. I think its one of those ones that everyone needs and my dentist would definitely agree. After the pain of getting 2 more fillings this year. I definitely need to cut it down and get rid of it completely. It's most probably what's making my skin worse as well. So Im going to be hoping I can do it.

5. Drink more water
I seem to go through these phases where I drink lots and lots of water for a week and then I stop completely. But within that 1week, I see so much improvement in my skin and my eczema especially as dehydration is the worst thing you can do whilst suffering from eczema. If you have dry skin, just drink lots and lots of water and you'll see the difference the morning you wake up from drinking 2 bottles of water. I see it there and then. I just wish I could actually be bothered to drink that much every day.

6. Buy a really cool camera
I don't know I want to get the Canon 700d or the Olympus pen epl-7. I don't even know when I'll be able to get one. But I know that I have have have have to get one this year. I don't even care. It has to happen. If you have any recommendations, let me know!

7. Explore More
I don't want to travel out into other countries yet. I just really want to travel out and wide in the UK. When I walk around London I find so many amazing hidden areas and I think "Wow, how have i never seen this place before" and it's because I never actually spend time travelling and exploring. It doesn't have to be "Buy a ticket anywhere and jump on a plane". But just finding places close by that seem like they're far away. If you know what I mean?
